Skanda Ayur Yoga was developed to teach yoga holistically, emphasizing all eight limbs beyond asana. Our 200-hour Multi Style Yoga Teacher Training Course gives you the information, abilities, and confidence to teach Traditional Hatha, Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series, and Vinyasa Flow yoga. The program follows Sage Patanjali’s 3000-year-old Ashtanga Yoga system, integrating Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary and Flow. The curriculum includes asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, alignment, adjustment, and teaching practice. You’ll learn Ashtanga Yoga Primary series, multiple Vinyasa routines, and how to design your own classes. While our teaching is traditional, our approach is innovative and unorthodox. Creativity, intuition, and spirituality are encouraged. No religion or dogma guides our lessons.

Certification

200-Hour Multistyle Yoga Teacher Training certification.

Skanda Ayur yoga is an international Yoga Alliance RYS-200, RYS-300, and YACEP provider.

Certificates (online and in-person) are recognized globally—teach anywhere after graduation.

Optionally, register as RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance after the course. Registration is not mandatory.

Our credentials allow you to teach yoga lawfully in any country, even without Yoga Alliance membership.

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Details

Ashtanga Yoga

Introduction & history of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

Components: vinyasa, Ujjayi pranayama, bandhas, drishti.

Modified primary series: standing, seated, concluding asanas.

Three weekly classes, 90 minutes each.

Daily 2-hour alignment and modification workshops.

Prop use in various postures.

Teaching practice of Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow is supervised from

Day One, both one-on-one and group formats.

Hands-on adjustment techniques are thoroughly taught.

Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Partner Yoga

Morning Hatha Yoga ritual sessions.

Intermediate Vinyasa Flow (90 minutes).

Dual Yin classes included.

Two partner or Acro yoga workshops.

Foundations of sequencing & creating your own Vinyasa flows.

Teaching practice alternates every day from Day Two, with regular

feedback on led classes.

Pranayama

Introduction to pranayama: breath, anatomy, and science.

Spiritual aspects and practical application.

Practices taught: Nadi Shodhana, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Ujjayi,

Bhramari, Surya Bheda.

Sessions for practicing and learning to teach pranayama.

Meditation

Definition, purpose, and scientific basis of meditation.

Impact on brain and consciousness.

Methods for self and teaching others.

Styles covered: Chakra, Kundalini, Om, Nada, Mantra, Antara Mauna,

Chidakash Dharana, Vipassana, and other insight meditations.

Yoga Philosophy & Lifestyle

History, meaning, and yogic lifestyle guidance.

The four yoga paths: Jnana, Raja, Bhakti, Karma.

Patanjali Yoga Sutra and the Eight Limbs.

Challenges of the yoga path and practical solutions.

Importance of satsang and sangha support.

Three gunas: Sattva, Rajas, Tamas.

Lifestyle and ethical foundation for teachers and practitioners.

Anatomy

Practical, functional anatomy—often missing from other courses.

In-depth study of muscles, bones, health benefits and risks.

Focus: Skeletal, muscular, neurological system, major joint

movements.

Application in yoga: safe movement, mechanics, individual differences

(compression, tension, proportion).

Regions covered: foot, knee, hips, spine, shoulder.

Teaching Practice

How to teach Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series and related classes.

Principles for sequencing Vinyasa Flow and designing creative yoga sessions

Classroom management, finding your teaching voice, and building presence.

Demonstration principles, voice projection, floor safety, ethics, and

adjustments by hand.

Your teaching practice begins on day one as 5–10 minute sessions,

growing to a 45–60 minute final class.

Performance feedback from teachers and peers throughout the training.

Comprehensive preparation for confidently teaching Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, and multi-level open classes.

Accommodation & Food

For your stay, you would be given comfortable, pleasant, and hygienic rooms. Every

single room would have a personal attached bathroom coupled with both cold and hot

water. Apart from this, the rooms will be endowed with a free Wi-Fi and essential

amenities for daily needs. You can pick a shared room or opt for a solo one too.

Food

Special attention is given to food. You would be given proper breakfast, lunch,

and dinner. These foods will be vegetarian and proper attention is given to high

nutritious ingredients. The meals would be catered with fresh fruits, salad, and

healthy beverages. You also have the ease of opting for gluten-free food too. It

would be as per the needs of the aspirants. Please note you have to inform us

well in time about your choices.

Code Of Conduct For Students And Basic Ethics

Every school or organization must have some basic rules and code of conduct and so does the Skanda Ayur Yoga have.

Thus, let us discuss those rules: -

The students must always respect their gurus and must maintain rules and regulations.

There is no smoking and drinking rule on the campus.

Anything that has been borrowed must be duly returned and have too in time.

Full attendance is expected in all scheduled programs. If there is any sort of emergency then complete information is to be given.

The kitchen manager must be informed if there is any other plan and the food is not required for any particular day.

Class timings are very strict and all students must maintain punctuality. In Skanda Ayur yoga accommodation will be provided only to students and staff.

Policies Of Skanda Ayur Yoga

Anti-Harassment Police- NO student shall be responsible for any sort of

harassment issue. Protections again sexual, personal, physical, harassment is a

heavy punishable act.

Anti- Retaliation Policy-This is the rule for protection against any sort of violation

of the code of conduct.

Attendance Policy- This policy helps students figure out all queries and questions

regarding attendance and participation in different events. Attendance is very

strict and everyone must follow the policy and guidelines.

Refund Policy Of Skanda Ayur Yoga

Advance payment non-refundable. If there is an unfortunate event substitute

class will be provided later.

You can cancel your course at any point in time but the deposited money shall

not be refunded.

There is no extra charge for cancellation. All one needs to do is inform the

authorities. But as mentioned the fees shall not be refunded
